Common Queries
Do you take insurance?
Yes! You can find out more here.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Yes! I believe that everyone deserves mental health care. To ensure I can afford to provide care to the community, my sliding scale is $105-180 per 50-minute session. You can find out more here.
I live in _____, can you be my therapist?
While I live in BC and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor here, I am also able to see clients in Alberta (for now), Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, Newfoundland & Labrador.
How long is a therapy session?
Standard individual sessions are 50 minutes long. Relationship counselling may be up to 80 minutes long, and groups may be up to 2 hours long. EMDR sessions can be more effective when 80 minutes long. Hormone/Surgery Readiness assessments are also 80 minutes long and may take more than one session. You can also book a 25-minute session if you just need a quick check-in.
Do you see clients on evenings and weekends?
I do! I offer two evenings per week and Sundays. Contact me to find the spot that suits your schedule.
How often should I book therapy sessions?
That may depend on your goals, schedule, and budget. Many people find that weekly appointments are helpful to gain and maintain therapy benefits, while others find that bi-monthly sessions help to focus the work. Often clients may start with weekly sessions and then transition to less frequent sessions for maintenance.
